Inter Milan U23 squad will kick off their pre-season training on Monday as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Per FCInterNews, newly appointed coach Stefano Vecchi will report for duty at the start of next week.
Vecchi has taken over the reins from Andrea Zanchetta.
However, he will officially become the U23 coach by Friday.
Indeed, after two years at Venezia, the 53-year-old returns to his old stomping ground.
Moreover, Vecchi led Inter’s Primavera team from 2014 to 2018 and also served as a caretaker for the first team.
Stefano Vecchi should have a competitive squad at his disposal.
Despite Spezia’s interest in Thomas Berenbruch and Giacomo De Pieri, Inter will likely keep hold of both starlets.
Furthermore, Luca Di Maggio should stay at Appiano Gentile amid speculation linking him with a move to Padova.
Therefore, the U23 team will join Serie C with lofty ambitions.
With a talented group of young prospects, Vecchi looks poised to lead Inter to a successful third-tier debut.
