Napoli star Kevin De Bruyne and Inter winger Denzel Dumfries were on target this evening for Belgium and the Netherlands in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

During the break for international duty, attention turns from club football to what the players are doing for their respective countries.

Dumfries and De Bruyne make their mark

De Bruyne found the net during Belgium’s very comfortable 6-0 victory away to Liechtenstein this evening, even though it was a little less sweet after his captain’s armband was taken away.

The former Manchester City midfielder completed a give and go with Hans Vanaken to score from a tight angle.

Maxim De Cuyper, Youri Tielemans (twice), Arthur Theate and Malick Fofana rounded out the result.

Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers provided an assist for the late Fofana goal with a cheeky back-heel flick.

Inter man Dumfries soared above the crowd to turn in a corner for the Netherlands in their 1-1 draw against Poland, although Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Podolski could’ve done better on the Memphis Depay set play.

Matty Cash scored the late equaliser in Rotterdam.
