More details are emerging on the Napoli proposal that Kevin De Bruyne is on the verge of accepting, including his salary structure and signing on fee.

The midfielder is a free agent, as his contract with Manchester City will expire on June 30.

Although there are other offers, above all from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire, he is widely reported to be leaning towards Napoli.

It is a football choice as well as a lifestyle one, because his wedding was in Sorrento, just off the coast of Naples.

De Bruyne has chosen Napoli

According to Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, the contract offer from Napoli is for three years and has a staggered wage structure.

For the first two seasons, the pay would be €6m per year net, then dropping to €5m for the third campaign.

It is a significant cut from the salary he enjoys at Manchester City, but that was inevitable.

There will also be a signing on bonus considering his status as a free agent.

An announcement is expected fairly soon, with multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more all confident he will choose the Partenopei.

Napoli are already celebrating, as last night they won the Serie A title for the second time in three years, and have also qualified for the Champions League.
