Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking unit in the summer, and they have identified the Italian international striker Moise Kean as a target.

The 26-year-old has been excellent since the move to Fiorentina, and Roberto De Zerbi wants to secure his signature at the end of the season. Kean has 34 goals and 7 assists in 77 matches for Fiorentina. He has been hailed as a “phenomenal” player.

Moise Kean could cost a premium

The striker has a release clause of around €62 million (£54m) in his contract, but the Italian outfit would sanction his departure for €50 million, as per Calciomercato.It. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham follows up on their interest with an offer to sign the player. It is no secret that they need a quality striker next season.

Dominic Solanke has not been prolific enough, and he needs more support in the attack. The Italian could be a superb acquisition for the North London club.

Kean could fancy a return

He has played in the Premier League with Everton before, and he might feel he has unfinished business in England. The player is at the peak of his career, and he has rediscovered his form and confidence in Italy. Kean will be desperate to make his Mark at the north London club if the move goes through. The asking price is high, but the player could make a big difference for Tottenham in the attack if he adapts quickly. Kean might be able to justify the investment in the coming seasons.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will need to secure safety in the top flight if they want to attract players of his quality. They are fighting for survival after a disappointing season. De Zerbi has been brought in to guide them to safety, and it remains to be seen whether the Italian manager can turn things around.
