Jakub Kiwior appears to be on the brink of a transfer to FC Porto after Arsenal accepted a package reported to be worth around €25 million, structured as an initial loan followed by an obligation to buy. While the deal is not yet sealed, reports suggest Kiwior has agreed personal terms and is ready to move for more consistent playing opportunities. Porto even arranged a private jet to bring him to Lisbon, which stood idle for two days – a sign both clubs expect the move to be completed imminently.
Porto’s urgency reflects how highly they value Kiwior, while Arsenal, having already invested heavily in summer reinforcements , are evidently ready to offload players on the periphery of Mikel Arteta’s plans. Kiwior’s exit is expected to coincide with Arsenal target Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié signing before the transfer deadline, underlining the defensive reshuffle already in motion.
Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Kiwior is already in Porto to finalise his move. Kiwior is not the only player heading for the exit. Albert Sambi Lokonga is close to a permanent transfer to Hamburg, Fabio Vieira is set to join Hamburg too on a season-long loan, and Reiss Nelson has already finalised his loan switch to Brentford . Meanwhile, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s possible move to Marseille remains one to watch.
The scale of outgoings reflects Arsenal’s clear intent to streamline the squad as the window closes. Kiwior has been a steady performer, but with competition mounting and Arteta needing flexibility elsewhere, this looks like the right moment for both club and player to move on.
