Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu is on the verge of winning the Serie A title in his first managerial season at San Siro.

According to Corriere della Sera via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will have to navigate a fixture schedule that closely mirrors last season’s run-in.

Despite going three consecutive league games without a win for the first time since 2023, Inter bounced back immediately after the international break.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri thrashed bitter rivals Roma 5-2 last Sunday to maintain a seven-point lead over second-placed Napoli.

However, with seven games left to go, Cristian Chivu knows better than to take anything for granted.

Inter Milan Face Identical Serie A Run-In to Last Season

Inter’s final sprint starts with a daunting trip to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia to take on top-four hopefuls Como.

Curiously, the upcoming home clash against Parma is the only difference to last season’s final seven fixtures.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri faced Roma down the 2024/25 campaign’s final stretch.

Yet, there’s one significant difference compared to the last Serie A season.

Chivu’s men have picked up four more points on their road trips this term, averaging 2.3 points per game overall.

Moreover, that ratio keeps on them on course to hit an 88-point mark.
