In the expectation of a new dawn at Juventus, Calciomercato reveal the details of Bianconeri’s contract offer to Bologna manager Thiago Motta. Viewed as the perfect man for the job, the ex-Inter midfielder is the only worthy successor to Massimiliano Allegri in the eyes of Cristiano Giuntoli.

Juventus have been working on this deal for months. However, Giuntoli waits until the end of the season to take talks to a new level. It’s almost certain that Motta will take a hot seat in Turin over the summer. And he’ll be duly rewarded for choosing the Allianz Arena as his next destination.

Per the report, Juventus have pitched Motta with a three-year contract proposal worth €5 million per season. On top of that, they’ve reportedly promised to back the 41-year-old in the transfer market, starting with the signing of Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori.

It’s possible that Juventus could sweeten the agreement with a potential move for Joshua Zirkzee amid his agent’s ongoing negotiations with Arsenal. Such an idea could gain momentum if Dusan Vlahovic decides to move abroad after landing on the radars of several top foreign clubs.

But Bologna have pieced together a counter-proposal to convince their coach to turn his back on Juventus. Gialloblu president Joey Saputo has allegedly vowed to invest around €100m over the next three years if Motta signs a last-minute contract extension.

That scenario looks far-fetched. Juventus shouldn’t be worried about Saputo’s effort, but Barcelona could make them sweat. It’s said Joan Laporta wants to see Xavi Hernandez out at the end of the season, identifying Motta as a potential replacement.

Let’s see how this pans out.
