Devante Jacobs officially joins Manchester United

Manchester United are preparing for the upcoming season, with Michael Carrick leading the men’s first-team as manager in all competitions.

The Red Devils, who finished third in the Premier League last season, have spent this summer ensuring that the squad is in the correct place.

After the departures of Casemiro and Jadon Sancho, amongst others, United have rebuilt, signing Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans for midfield positions whilst also signing Karl Darlow.

The Old Trafford outfit have also been linked with a move for Manu Kone, of AS Roma, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, of Arsenal, as the transfer window approaches its final few weeks.

Below the men’s first-team, the club have also been making a number of additions to benefit the club for the new season, which starts in a matter of weeks.

Now, the latest of those has arrived with Devante Jacobs joining the operation.

Confirming his appointment on Instagram, Jacobs said: “Blessed to be starting this new journey with Manchester United.

“Thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way. All glory to the Most High.”

Jacobs arrives to the club as a football coach having previously gained experience in the industry through his own projects.

He has now taken the next step through joining Manchester United, one that all parties will hope that benefit both his coaching style and United’s abilities in games.

From his Instagram post, it appears likely that he will be based in the Manchester United academy, helping to develop the next generation of young talents.

With the new season just weeks away, Devante Jacobs will switch towards settling in and getting to work quickly through instilling his tactics and expertise on situations.

For Jacobs, this is the start of a new era, both for him professionally and personally.
