Did Christian Pulisic and ‘Golfer Girl’ Alexa Melton Break Up?

USMNT star Christian Pulisic is facing unwanted off-field attention just months before the World Cup.

As reported by Sports Illustrated and several other outlets, the AC Milan forward has been accused by his former girlfriend, Alexa Melton, of re-entering the dating scene before their relationship had officially ended.

Melton, a professional golfer with a following of over 139,000 on Instagram, shared details regarding their difficult split in the comment section of a post on Monday.

On April 7, Melton shared an Instagram post featuring her on the golf course.

When a follower reacted to her recent post with the comment, "generational fumble," in an apparent reference to her split with the soccer star, Melton replied, "Mans been on Raya even before it even ended.”

She subsequently added, "guess not fearing God enough," before asking her followers, "how many likes to post his Raya profile"

Raya is an exclusive, membership-based dating app often used by celebrities and high-profile individuals.

The couple began dating in the summer of 2025 and appeared to be going strong until recently.

The two athletes were occasionally seen supporting each other's careers, with Pulisic attending Melton’s tournaments and Melton spotted in the stands at his matches.

Apart from the off-field distractions, the USMNT star, who featured twice for the national team during the international break, is currently navigating a significant goal drought.

While he had a strong start to the season with 8 goals in 11 Serie A matches, Pulisic’s form dipped in 2026.

As of early April, he has made 13 league appearances for AC Milan since the start of the year but has struggled to find the back of the net. During this stretch, he has recorded only one assist while also dealing with recurring fitness issues.

With the World Cup approaching, Pulisic will be looking to regain his form on the pitch while navigating these recent off-field distractions.
