Italy captain Gianluigi Donnarumma has an agreement on personal terms with Manchester City, but his move to the Etihad is still dependent on the moves of current City goalkeeper Ederson according to Friday’s updates.
As Football Italia reported at the beginning of the week, City are prepared to invest around €30m to sign Donnarumma, who has been forced out of PSG after failing to agree a new contract extension and the subsequent signing of France international Lucas Chevalier.
The former Milan goalkeeper reportedly has an agreement on personal terms in place with Man City already, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on Friday.
However, Donnarumma’s move to Man City still depends on the next moves of recent no.1 Ederson.
The Brazilian has been Pep Guardiola’s no.1 for six Premier League title winning campaigns, but has been linked with a move away from the club for most of the summer transfer window.
City are currently very well stocked in their goalkeeping department following the signing of James Trafford from Burnley earlier this summer, who has started in both of City’s first two matches of the Premier League campaign so far.
So, Donnarumma is left hoping that Ederson secures a move away from the Etihad before the close of the transfer window. Fabrizio Romano reports that Galatasaray want to sign the 32-year-old, but that Al-Nassr are not currently involved in the race.
