There’s a double barrier in the possible swap deal between Artem Dovbyk and Santiago Gimenez, as Roma and the Milan striker are not convinced.
The potential swap deal between Dovbyk and Gimenez may not materialise because of a double barrier.
As Football Italia already reported on Friday, Gimenez is unwilling to leave Milan, and I can now add that not even Roma are unanimously convinced about swapping Dovbyk with the Mexico international.
The Giallorossi directors have discussed internally signing Gimenez, but not everyone is convinced about completing the swap deal.
This barrier makes the other one even higher, not to mention that Milan director Igli Tare said the Rossoneri are only interested in a swap deal.
It remains to be seen whether the scenario will change in the last two days of the summer transfer window.
Gimenez started the first two Milan games mostly due to Rafael Leao’s injury, while Dovbyk went on the Roma bench against Bologna and Pisa.
