Manchester United’s preparations for the new campaign are all but complete, with the opening weekend of the season now firmly in sight.
Michael Carrick’s side begin their league campaign away at newly promoted Hull City, a fixture they’ll be expected to negotiate comfortably.
It marks the start of what promises to be a significant year for the club, with Champions League football back on the agenda following a third-place Premier League finish last season.
Every aspect of the squad will be under scrutiny as United look to build on that platform and challenge on multiple fronts.
That scrutiny extends beyond the pitch too, with attention now turning to how the squad has been assessed in this year’s biggest football video game release.
United’s player ratings for EA FC 27 have been leaked by FUT Police Leaks on X ahead of the game’s launch.
The Reds have been recognised as the highest-rated UK-based club outside the five-star bracket, sitting just behind Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City, who all occupy five-star status.
United instead share four-and-a-half-star billing with Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea, a reflection of last season’s progress under Carrick.
Bruno Fernandes leads the way as United’s top-rated player by some distance, handed an 89 overall.
He’s followed by Youri Tielemans on 85, with Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo both rated at 84.
A cluster of players sit on 82, including Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford, Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Senne Lammens and Benjamin Sesko.
Full leaked United ratings:
Bruno Fernandes – 89; Youri Tielemans – 85; Matheus Cunha – 84; Bryan Mbeumo – 84; Harry Maguire – 82; Marcus Rashford – 82; Matthijs de Ligt – 82; Lisandro Martinez – 82; Senne Lammens – 82; Benjamin Sesko – 82; Kobbie Mainoo – 81; Noussair Mazraoui – 80; Andrey Santos – 80; Luke Shaw – 79; Amad – 79; Mason Mount – 78; Diogo Dalot – 78; Leny Yoro – 78; Patrick Dorgu – 78; Joshua Zirkzee – 77; Manuel Ugarte – 77; Karl Darlow – 76; Ayden Heaven – 75; Altay Bayindir – 75 (on loan at Celta Vigo); Toby Collyer – 70; Harry Amass – 69; Tom Heaton – 67; Dan Gore – 66; Chido Obi – 65; Diego Leon – 64; Ethan Wheatley – 63.
It’s a squad ratings list that broadly mirrors last season’s on-field pecking order, with the club’s attacking talisman once again setting the standard for the rest of the group to chase.
