Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg reported that Eintracht Frankfurt have added Portuguese striker Fábio Silva to their shortlist before the summer transfer window. The Bundesliga club has already held initial talks and gathered all relevant information on the 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at La Liga side Las Palmas. The German side are believed to view Silva as an exciting and realistic option as they look to bolster their attacking options under manager Dino Toppmöller.

Silva Impressing In Spain

Fábio Silva has enjoyed a productive loan spell in Spain, scoring ten goals and providing three assists across all competitions for Las Palmas. The striker, who remains under contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers until 2026, has shown signs of fulfilling the potential that saw Wolves pay a then-club record transfer fee of £35 million from FC Porto in 2020.

This resurgence in form has not gone unnoticed, with Frankfurt impressed by his technique, movement and versatility across the frontline. He is now chasing “redemption” at the top level.

Competition From Other Clubs

Eintracht Frankfurt are not alone in admiring the Portuguese forward. Multiple top European clubs are reportedly monitoring Silva’s situation, which could spark a bidding war in the summer.

Given Silva’s contract status and Wolves’ plans for squad restructuring, a permanent move away from Molineux appears increasingly likely. His future may ultimately hinge on which club can offer him consistent playing time and the best development pathway.

With Frankfurt looking to reinforce their squad after losing Omar Marmoush in January and Silva rediscovering his best form, this rumour is undoubtedly one to watch. If the German side can move quickly, they may be able to steal a march on rival suitors and land one of Europe’s more intriguing young strikers.
