Manchester United’s pursuit for a new permanent manager is currently ongoing, with the Red Devils recently hiring Michael Carrick following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.
Carrick had previously been at United in 2021, following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Red Devils boss, following a poor run of form.
Meanwhile, the manager has been at Middlesbrough since his first spell at Old Trafford ended, with the 44-year-old guiding Boro towards success in the Championship.
Now, the manager has a second chance to prove himself at Manchester United, considering he will be at the club until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, whilst Carrick oversees duties on the field, United’s executive team (made up of people such as Chief Executive Officer Omar Berrada and Director of Football Jason Wilcox) will begin the search for a new permanent manager.
One name that has been linked with the permanent position is current Crystal Palace manger Oliver Glasner who refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford last year.
Meanwhile, Glasner also confirmed on Friday that he would be leaving the Eagles at the end of the season, further increasing speculation about the possibility of him joining Manchester United.
Now, Julian Naglesmann has been linked with the manager’s position, with the Telegraph reporting that he will not be discounted by the Red Devils.
Naglesmann, who is currently in charge of the German national team, is due to lead his country into the upcoming World Cup finals later this year.
Meanwhile, the German has previously been with sides such as Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, underlining his experience in club management.
Now, fans may look towards Old Trafford to see if any comments are made on the possibility of Julian Naglesmann being the next United boss.
