Empoli have approved Alberto Grassi’s move to Cremonese and could send Emmanuel Gyasi to Palermo in Serie B.
Empoli have already sold Jacopo Fazzini and Mattia Viti to Fiorentina and Luca Marianucci to Napoli, but are preparing for more departures this summer.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that the Tuscans, who were relegated to Serie B in 2024-25, have approved Grassi’s move to Cremonese.
The two clubs will continue negotiations today as the Grigiorossi, promoted to Serie A last season, aim to finalise an agreement with the Azzurri.
At the same time, Empoli could decide to sell Gyasi to Palermo, one of their Serie B contenders next season.
The Rosanero made an important offer for the 31-year-old in recent hours, so Gyasi’s move to the Stadio Barbera is on the cards.
Palermo have appointed Filippo Inzaghi as their new coach after the former striker secured Serie A promotion with Pisa last season.
