Real Madrid’s summer signing Endrick Felipe will arrive with relatively little fanfare at the Santiago Bernabeu, given he will cost in excess of €50m, possibly rising to €60m. That is due to the shadow cast by Kylian Mbappe, but it will give him time to adapt with less pressure.

It’s a process that Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have already been through. Endrick told Diario AS that he would be using them as a reference point.

“It’s very good [our relationship]. They are young people, also Brazilians, who adapted very well to both the city and the club and the way of playing in Spain. Their story, both Vini’s and Rodrygo’s, is an inspiration and they are going to help me a lot.”

He also spoke with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez and coach Carlo Ancelotti during his visit to Real Madrid’s facilities.

“I was with them in Madrid. They left me very calm and with a lot of confidence for when I arrive. They told me that they continue my games in Palmeiras and that I will be very well received.”

Endrick signed with Real Madrid in December of 2022, agreeing the deal when he was just 16 years of age, and could have also gone in a different direction with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain on the scene. He was asked why he picked Los Blancos.

“It wasn’t a choice. Madrid was always a dream. I didn’t have to choose anything, I simply realised a dream.”

Since the age of 14, Endrick’s name has been on the radar of the Spanish media, as he astonished in youth tournaments in Brazil. Dealing with the media spotlight from such a young age, Endrick is carefully managing it these days after a spell out of the team last season.
