2026 is set to be a major year for international football, with the World Cup set to play out this summer across the USA, Canada and Mexico.

As such, several Manchester United stars are preparing for their call-up, with several members of the senior squad contributing to their country’s qualification.

Casemiro and Matheus Cunha are regulars for Brazil, with Portugal routinely calling on Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot.

Kobbie Mainoo has returned to the England squad after returning to the United starting eleven under Michael Carrick, with Harry Maguire also recalled.

However, before the 2026 World Cup, England are also headed to the 2026 UEFA European Championships with their Under-17s Women’s side.

Now, England have published their squad list for the tournament in Northern Ireland next month, including two members of the Manchester United women’s academy.

Goalkeeper Evie Mitchell and defender Lucy Robinson have been called up as the side prepares to take on Northern Ireland, Germany and Norway in the group stages.

The tournament will kick off on 4th May as England face the hosts, before playing Germany on 7th May and Norway on 10th May.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, England head coach Kerri Walsh commented: “We are all really excited to get out to Northern Ireland and for the competition to get underway.”

She continued: “It’s a huge honour to represent England at a tournament, and for this group it’ll be their first.

“We want to ensure it’s a memory that they’ll always hold onto and an experience that will be pivotal in their development as both players and people.

“Only the best teams in Europe have qualified for the EURO finals, and we’re really proud of that achievement.

“We also know that means every game will be a challenge, but we take a lot of confidence from our performances in the two qualifying rounds, and it’s a test we’re all looking forward to.”
