Sergio Ramos is one of the most decorated players of his generation.
With 850 club appearances to his name, along with an additional 180 for the Spanish national team, Ramos has hit four figures in his career.
He also has an impressive trophy haul in his career, with a FIFA World Cup winners medal, two European Championships, four Champions Leagues and five La Liga titles just to name a few.
Ramos does not just have an impressive medal collection, he has an incredible goal tally given that he has been a defender for his entire career.
Whilst he does have 30 career red cards, he also has 125 goals at the club level with an additional 23 for Spain.
Ramos also came up with important goals during his career, most notably scoring a last minute equaliser in the 2014 UEFA Champions League final against local rivals Atletico Madrid, a game they eventually won 4-1 in extra-time.
He would score against the same opponent in the final two seasons later.
After a storied career at Madrid, Ramos moved to Paris Saint-German but the football club failed to have any real success as they attempted their own version of the Galacticos with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in their attack.
Ramos moved back to Sevilla, for whom he joined Madrid from, after two seasons at PSG.
His homecoming was short lived, lasting just a season before securing a move to Mexican side Monterrey.
Earlier this month, the 39-year old announced his departure from the club
There was plenty of speculation that United were going to sign the Spaniard. However, ESPN have reported that Man United no longer have an interest in signing Ramos.
United are said to be prioritising younger players and it is reported that CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox were hesitant after Cristiano Ronaldo’s second spell at the club.
Midfield and wingback options are also seen as a priority for United and it is being seen as highly unlikely that the club sign anyone during this upcoming January transfer window.
