This is an Everton predicted lineup for their Premier League clash with Wolves. Both teams have had interesting starts to the season with the Toffees overcoming some initial questions by getting strong wins over Brighton & Hove Albion and Mansfield Town. David Moyes’ pragmatism will meet a unique Vitor Pereira setup in this fixture.

How Everton Have Lined Up Recently

Jordan Pickford starts in goal usually but made way for Mark Travers in the recent cup outing. With limited options at the back Michael Keane and James Tarkowski have started as the centre backs in each match, Vitalli Mykolenko plays at left back when fit with James Garner replacing him if needed. Seamus Coleman replaced Jake O’Brien at right-back in the EFL Cup.

Garner is naturally a defensive midfielder and has played there with Tim Iroegbunam, Idrissa Gueye, and Harrison Armstrong also starting there. In the attacking spots Jack Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carlos Alcarez, and Dwight McNeil have all been used in the midfield area. Beto and Thierno Barry have shared the striking duties.

Everton Recent Form & Tactics

Moyes has used a 4-2-3-1 setup to remain defensively solid. His defensive midfielders both help shield the back line with the centre-backs keeping things simple and using their physicality to defend. The team doesn’t fully sit back and instead tried to use a clever press to earn chances, marking the biggest switch from how they operated under Sean Dyche.

After a dismal opening day of the campaign, where the Toffees were soundly beaten by Leeds United and failed to get many shots on target they have rebounded well. A 2-0 win over Brighton and the 2-0 win over Mansfield saw them look much more capable of scoring while retaining their defensive solidity.

Everton Injuries to Consider

According to PremierInjuries, there are three injured players to account for. Jarred Branthwaite has been missing for the season so far, as has Nathan Patterson. Adam Aznou has a small issue and will be assessed late.
