These are the Everton vs Newcastle confirmed lineups for their Premier League tie on Saturday. While the league is still pretty compact, gaps are starting to emerge and the Magpies surprisingly find themselves in 14th place, closer to the drop zone than the top four. The Toffees are firmly in the middle of the pack and need to keep getting points to ensure their safety in case they have any dips in form, a win will be important for either side but the away team might have some more motivation as they need to get their campaign turned around sooner rather than later.
Jordan Pickford starts in goal with a back line of Jake O’Brien, James Tarkowski, Michael Keane, and Vitalii Mykolenko. James Garner partners Tim Iroegbunam in the pivot. Iliman Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Jack Grealish support Thierno Barry as the striker.
An enforced change as Idrissa Gueye is suspended and replaced by Irogbunam. The only other change is O’Brien coming back in for his countryman, Seamus Coleman.
Aaron Ramsdale starts in goal with a back line of Lewis Hall, Malick Thiaw, Dan Burn, and Tino Livramento. Joelinton, Harvey Barnes, Anthony Elanga, Nick Woltemade, Bruno Guimaraes, and Lewis Miley make up the rest of the lineup.
Big decision in goal is Nick Pope is dropped after an error in midweek as Ramsdale comes in. There’s rotation elsewhere as Fabin Schar, Sandro Tonali, Jacob Murphy, Anthony Gordon, and Joe Willock are rested to keep the 4-3-3 shape with a high energy press.
Stay tuned for the Everton vs Newcastle confirmed lineups.
