Cesc Fabregas is at his next big crossroads, and will have to decide whether to take the leap of faith to join Inter Milan.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Cesc Fabregas has only just finished his first season coaching in Serie A.
It was a season with some ups and downs for the Spaniard’s young Como side. They were far from without flaws or naivety as they found their feet in the top flight.
However, on balance, there is little doubt that Fabregas and Como overachieved significantly for a newly-promoted team.
Fabregas has certainly reaped the benefits of taking the risk of joining Como. First as a player, and then as their talismanic young coach.
And as the Gazzetta note, Cesc Fabregas has always been a precocious overachiever. Ever since he became a key player for Arsenal at the age of sixteen.
Now, the 38-year-old will need to decide whether the right next step would be to take over at one of Italy’s biggest and most historic clubs.
Inter will certainly offer Fabregas an enticing project. And the chance to shine on the very biggest stage.
However, on the other hand, the risks would be obvious. If Fabregas leaves Como after just one season, he could struggle to adjust, and seriously derail what has been extremely positive momentum so far.
