Benjamin Pavard admits he’s “disappointed and angry” about the collapse against PSG in the Champions League final, but says Inter Milan “have to move on.”
The 29-year-old former Bayern Munich defender spoke to FFF TV, via FCInterNews. He reflected on that chastening loss in the biggest match of the season.
Inter Milan did not just lose the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nerazzurri fell to an absolutely humiliating 5-0 defeat. That was the widest margin that any team has ever lost a Champions League final.
Therefore, it was certainly a result that left Inter wondering what would come next. Not least after Simone Inzaghi decided to step down just a couple days after the final.
Inter Milan defender Benjamin Pavard commented that “I’m still a bit disappointed and angry about the final that we lost.”
“But we need to move on from it quickly,” the Frenchman continued.
“Now I’m here with the France shirt. I don’t have time to think about it too much.”
“Even if it’s still in my head,” Benjamin Pavard admitted.
“You have to look ahead. That’s the way that top level football is.”
Then, Pavard stated that “the good thing is that there’s always another match right away that allows you to start to forget it a bit.”
