West Ham star Mohammed Kudus is prioritising a move to Tottenham in the coming weeks

Tottenham are looking to kickstart a new era at N17 under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites need to build on the Europa League success next season. And to achieve that, the north London club needs to bring in reinforcements in all areas of the pitch. Daniel Levy cannot be complacent in the transfer market as we reach the business-end of the summer.

With pre-season already on the way for Spurs, the fans are hoping that Levy picks up speed in the transfer market and lands the intended targets quickly. There is a clear need to upgrade the attack for next season after the disastrous Premier League campaign that the club endured. The lack of prolific wingers at Thomas Frank’s disposal is a cause for concern as the Lilywhites look to compete hard on all four fronts next season.

Brennan Johnson enjoyed a stellar individual campaign last season. The Welshman was the club’s top-scorer in all competitions, despite enduring a ‘stop-start’ season for the Lilywhites. Now, Daniel Levy is hoping to always keep the 24-year-old on his toes by bringing in a new right-winger for next season. Having players fight for their places is just what is needed at N17 if the club wants to endure a good season.

Tottenham on the verge of sealing the deal for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus

It was reported earlier that Tottenham are aiming to land West Ham star Mohammed Kudus in the summer. The Lilywhites had a £50m bid rejected by the Hammers earlier this week, but the North London club remain favourites to sign the prolific attacker in the summer. The aforementioned report also stated that Kudus is prioritising a move to N17 and he is keen to work under Thomas Frank.

Now, ex-scout Bryan King believes that West Ham would agree a bid in the region of £65m for the Ghana international. Speaking to Tottenham News, King said,

“His (Kudus’) release clause expires in a few days. If Tottenham increase their offer to £65m, I think West Ham will accept that offer. However, Tottenham need to get players out as well. Richarlison needs to leave if Tottenham are bringing in Kudus. If Son Heung-min stays, that could be an effective forward line, Kudus on one side, Son on the other. I think Son still has another year left in him at Premier League level.”

Bryan King points out that Mohammed Kudus’ £85m release clause expires in a few days, and Tottenham might be able to land the Ghana international on a lower asking price. The ex-scout believes a £65m offer for Kudus would be accepted, but the Lilywhites need to sell players to make space for the 24-year-old. King adds that Richarlison needs to be sold in the summer if the West Ham star comes in. Whereas, Heung-Min Son could end up staying and form a formidable forward line next year for the North London club.

Daniel Levy must look to conclude a deal to sign the right-winger quickly as he will need some time to adapt to the playing style at N17. Thomas Frank will also hope that a deal is concluded in time so that Kudus can be integrated into the starting eleven during the pre-season games and the Ghana international has enough time to fit in with his new teammates.
