Michael Carrick is the new Manchester United head coach until the end of the season and will face Manchester City as his first game in charge.

This appointment comes after the sacking of Ruben Amorim.

Amorim and Jason Wilcox had a big falling out before the Leeds United 1-1 draw, which ended up leading to his departure.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS have not had a success whatsoever during their tenure so far.

The Red Devils finished 15th last season and lost the Europa League final too.

This season has been full of struggle, with United sitting at 7th and having won only one in their last six.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS heads held an executive committee meeting yesterday with Joel and Avram Glazer at Carrington.

Now, we can reveal big details on some other things that happened yesterday too.

CentreDevils understands that an investor was at Carrington yesterday who met with Joel and Avram Glazer as well as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS heads regarding the potential new stadium, as well as to discuss the overall process of it.

United are looking for sponsors who could buy naming rights of the stadium as well as looking for commercial partners.

Manchester United officially unveiled plans for a new 100,000-seat stadium next to Old Trafford in March 2025

They are also looking for private investment partners, which the club are looking to attract as part of the project.

Manchester United’s new stadium is expected to cost around £2 billion+, and the club plans to fund it privately through a mix of investment and commercial deals.

Many details are still unresolved, including finalising financing mechanisms and land/site clearance before construction can start.

The architects have said that once building starts, the stadium itself could take about five years to construct using prefabricated elements.
