Exclusive: Hojlund set to undergo Napoli medical on Sunday

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter inform me that the former Atalanta striker will arrive in Italy tomorrow, Sunday, August 30, to undergo medical examinations with the Partenopei and sign his contract.

Hojlund has always been Napoli’s main target since Romelu Lukaku’s serious thigh injury earlier this month.

The agreement between the two clubs has been formalised, so the player is now expected to start a new chapter of his career in Italy.

Hojlund already played in Serie A with Atalanta, scoring ten goals in 34 appearances across all competitions with La Dea in the 2022-23 season.

The 22-year-old joined Manchester United in a €75m deal in 2023.
