Manchester United are already making plans for the summer as the club look to continue their rebuild on the success of last summer.
The Red Devils completely remodelled their attack, signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, with all three already making their mark on the club.
Alongside them, Senne Lammens was signed in goal, bringing a new confidence and stability between the posts.
Now, it’s well known that Manchester United are looking to sign at least one midfielder in the summer, with Casemiro looking to leave at the end of the season.
However, CentreDevils can now reveal that the Red Devils’ recruitment team are also starting to actively assess the striker market.
It’s understood that there’s a feel that Joshua Zirkzee is increasingly likely to leave in the summer.
Recent reports have suggested interest from Italy and the wider Premier Legaue, and as such, United need to find a replacement.
To do so, internal meetings on the situation are going to advance over the coming weeks, ready for the summer transfer window opening in three months time.
Joshua Zirzkee arrived at Old Trafford in summer 2024 from Bologna under Erik ten Hag, however has failed to establish himself in the squad.
During his time at United, he’s lost his spot in the Netherlands national team, however is still held with high regard in Serie A.
As such, it’s understood that the striker is open to leaving United this summer, only two years after he arrived.
If he does leave Old Trafford, Benjamin Sesko would be left as the club’s only striker, with Bryan Mbeumo currently being used as another option to lead the line despite being a natural winger.
Now, the club will once again be looking at who can come in as a long-term option to help bring firepower to the club’s front line.
