Football Italia can exclusively reveal that Chelsea are unwilling to offer more than €15m for Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, but the Rossoneri want at least €25m plus add-ons.

Milan and Chelsea continue talks for French goalkeeper Maignan, but Football Italia can exclusively reveal that there is still a significant gap between the Blues’ offer and the Rossoneri’s demands.

Chelsea set Maignan price limit

The Premier League side is unwilling to pay more than €15m, as Maignan’s Milan contract expires in June 2026, and the goalkeeper will turn 30 next month.

Football Italia understands that Maignan is keen to join Chelsea after four years at San Siro, where talks over a new deal are stalling.

Serie A goalkeeper offered to Milan to replace Maignan

Milan, however, have demanded at least €25m plus bonuses to let their goalkeeper go and their new coach Massimiliano Allegri is reluctant to sell the ex-Lille star.

Maignan joined Milan for €16m from Lille in 2021 and has collected 163 appearances with the Rossoneri, winning the Serie A title in 2021-22.

Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has been offered to the Rossoneri, but the Serie A giants won’t sell Maignan unless Chelsea raise their offer.

Milan have already agreed to sell their midfield star Tijjani Reijnders to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester City for €75m, but are on the verge of welcoming Luka Modric as a free agent.
