Milan have resumed talks with Torino for Samuele Ricci as negotiations for Granit Xhaka stall.

Milan have resumed interest in Torino and Italy midfielder Ricci, sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me.

Milan can’t find Xhaka agreement with Bayer Leverkusen

The Rossoneri had identified Swiss midfielder Xhaka as an ideal playmaker under Massimiliano Allegri in 2025-26, but the Serie A giants are struggling to reach an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the 32-year-old.

Atalanta have also targeted Ricci, but will only open formal talks if Brazilian star Ederson leaves.

Ricci not unsellable for Torino

Ricci, 23, has made ten Italy appearances and is no longer unsellable for Torino.

Milan have been drastically changing their midfield department this summer, having already sold Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City and being in talks with Club Brugge for Ardon Jashari and Valencia for Javi Guerra.

The Rossoneri have also reached a verbal agreement with Luka Modric, who is expected to sign a one-year deal at San Siro after the Club World Cup.
