Roberto Piccoli to Fiorentina is now at an advanced stage of negotiations, with an agreement for the Cagliari striker for €25m plus €3-4m in add-ons.
We had already reported this afternoon that the two clubs were discussing the situation, and it is progressing rapidly.
The basic structure of the agreement has been reached, now they are working on whittling down the details, but the hard work has been done.
Of course, this also requires the Viola to sell Lucas Beltran first, hoping that he accepts the €11m proposal from CSKA Moscow.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina have chosen Piccoli and are negotiating to get the deal locked down quickly.
The 24-year-old centre-forward was a product of the Atalanta youth academy and went on several loan experiences to the likes of Spezia, Genoa, Hellas Verona and Lecce.
He joined Cagliari on loan in July 2024, a move that was made permanent for €12m this summer.
Piccoli scored 10 goals with three assists in 37 Serie A appearances for the Sardinians last season, and already found the net in the Coppa Italia this term.
