Roma have an agreement in place for Evan Ferguson’s loan move from Brighton and remain in talks for Wesley and Richard Rios.
Roma are close to signing Brighton striker Ferguson on loan, sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me.
The Giallorossi have an agreement in place with the Premier League side and are now fixing all the final details before formally completing the transfer.
Roma had considered other options in attack, including Nikola Krstović, but Lecce’s €30m asking price convinced the Giallorossi to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.
Currently, Roma prefer focusing their investments on midfield and wing-backs, and it’s no coincidence that talks for Rios (Palmeiras) and Wesley (Flamengo) are progressing.
Roma want to cement their lead over other clubs interested in the pair and aim to finalise the Rios deal in the coming days to give Gian Piero Gasperini his first reinforcement in the middle of the park.
