After enduring their worst season in years, Manchester United are preparing for a major summer overhaul and are actively pursuing new signings in their first transfer window under Rúben Amorim. According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Luis Henrique has emerged as a key target. The Brazilian winger, who has also attracted interest from Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton, is now at the centre of the latest developments surrounding United’s recruitment efforts.

Manchester United, along with several other top Premier League clubs, continue to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season. They now face stiff competition for Luis Henrique, a player who has made impressive strides at Marseille over the past 18 months. Originally signed from Botafogo in 2020, Henrique initially struggled to adapt to European football and even returned to Brazil on loan.

However, under Roberto De Zerbi’s guidance, he has transformed into a key figure at Marseille, catching the attention of multiple Premier League sides, including United, with his rapid development and consistent performances.

Although Marseille haven’t been especially impressive this season, they’ve maintained a degree of consistency, and Luis Henrique has emerged as one of their standout performers. The Brazilian winger has now made over 100 appearances in French football and appears poised for a move abroad. The attacker had attracted interest from several English clubs including Manchester United but ultimately turned down those approaches in favour of agreeing a deal with Inter Milan.

The 23-year-old, who is capable of playing on either wing, has agreed terms with the Champions League finalists in a deal worth just over £20 million.

Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton all made enquiries about Luis Henrique in recent weeks and were exploring the possibility of a deal. United viewed him as a potential fit for the right wing-back role in Rúben Amorim’s system, while the other clubs saw him as a more conventional wide attacker.

Although Henrique was intrigued by the prospect of playing in the Premier League, he didn’t hesitate once Inter Milan made their approach, quickly committing to the opportunity to join the Champions League finalists.

Although Manchester United appear to be missing out on Luis Henrique, they are closing in on a deal for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroonian international has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most consistently dangerous attacking threats, and a move to Old Trafford now looks closer than ever. United will be optimistic that this transfer could significantly bolster their attacking options.

Mbeumo has continued to develop and impress, and a switch to Manchester United would represent a major step forward for both the player and the club.
