Manchester United are looking set to have another big summer following on from last year’s rebuild.
In one window, The Red Devils completely restored their attack and their goalkeeper departments, bringing security to either end of the pitch.
Matheus Cunha is already taken the weight of responsibility off of Bruno Fernandes by helping to create attacking opportunities.
Bryan Mbeumo has been performing well at the start of the season, however admittedly his move from the wide role to striker has seen him struggle to contribute quite as much.
Benjamin Sesko has become a “super sub” reliably coming off the bench to score and win matches like against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur in February.
And Senne Lammens has brought consistency and reliability to between the sticks after two years of Andre Onana in goal.
This summer, United are looking to the summer to rebuild their midfield with Casemiro set to leave at the end of his contract.
Looking to life after the veteran midfielder leaves Old Trafford, Manchester United have identified Sandro Tonali as one of a few options to replace the 34-year-old.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has weighed in on the situation, reporting on his YouTube channel that the Red Devils are working hard on signing the Newcastle United midfielder.
Romano also confirmed that the Italian international is rated highly internally at Manchester United and that a move to Italy is unlikely due to the interest of both United and Manchester City.
Sandro Tonali has been with Newcastle for three seasons, with ten goals coming in 110 appearances alongside nine assists too.
A move to Manchester United could be seen as the next step in his career in England, although competition from Manchester City may make a deal more difficult than initially expected.
