Amidst rumours circulating across the internet that a Martinelli transfer to Al Nassr is very much on the cards, Romano has come out and revealed that these are untrue. The journalist described such reports as “wide of the mark”. Outlets had suggested a healthy payday for the Gunners should the Brazilian move to the Middle East, though fans will surely be more pleased with the news that their “massive talent” may be staying.

Romano understands that “no talks are taking place” between the player and Al Nassr around a potential move. Arsenal will be grateful to hear that the SPL club are “now working on different targets in the winger position”. Should they find an alternative, the Gunners may feel more positive about retaining their winger, who should still play a big role in the coming season.

How Important Could Gabriel Martinelli Be In the 2025/26 Season?

Arsenal have kicked off the summer window fairly well, with Martin Zubimendi coming in to partner Declan Rice in what will be an incredible midfield, alongside rumours that Viktor Gyokeres will be arriving to finally provide the solution to their striker problem.
