Liverpool have an exciting transfer window ahead of them and appear to be getting their business done early, with Fabrizio Romano’s recent update getting fans excited.

Arne Slot’s first season as Liverpool boss couldn’t have gone much better and he has become a Premier League-winning manager at the first time of asking, cementing himself in the club’s history.

However, all eyes are now firmly on the transfer window as the Reds aim to become just the fourth team to retain the title since the competition’s establishment in 1992.

Players will need replacing, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is departing for Real Madrid, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong looking like the man tasked to do this as talks continue to progress.

Jeremie Frimpong’s move to Liverpool has been gaining traction day-by-day, with Fabrizio Romano’s most recent update on the story getting Liverpool fans off their seats.

On X, Romano replied to his own post with a sand timer and eyes emoji, suggesting that this deal is only a matter of time and a story to look out for.

This comes in the same week he reported that Liverpool were in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen to sign the Dutchman, were happy to pay his €35m release clause, and an agreement on personal terms was advancing.

The 24-year-old, who almost joined the Reds’ academy before signing for Manchester City, is keen on the move and it now seems nailed on that he replaces Alexander-Arnold.
