Manchester United are working to finalise several player departures, and that could clear the way for some late arrivals.

There’s still time for Manchester United to bring in new faces before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Antony is closing in on a move away from Old Trafford, while Rasmus Hojlund looks set to join Napoli with an agreement already in place. Alejandro Garnacho’s £40 million switch to Chelsea is also expected to be confirmed soon.

Man Utd making final push for Senne Lammens deal

Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign goalkeeper Senne Lammens, according to the latest update from Fabrizio Romano.

United have been tracking Lammens throughout the summer and increased their interest in the Royal Antwerp keeper last week, but haven’t managed to finalise the £17 million deal yet.

Lammens deal push

According to the latest update from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are preparing to step up efforts to sign goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

United have been keeping tabs on Lammens throughout the summer, and ramped up their pursuit of the Royal Antwerp keeper a week ago, though they’ve yet to finalise the £17 million deal.

With time running short before the window closes, United are now expected to increase their push to bring in a new goalkeeper.

Romano reports: “Understand Manchester United are preparing one final big push to get Senne Lammens deal done! “Talks to accelerate this weekend again with Royal Antwerp. Deal on.”

Manchester United need new goalkeeper

This season, both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana have started games for Manchester United, but neither has managed to impress so far.

Onana was at fault for both goals in the midweek cup upset against Grimsby Town and managed just one save out of 12 penalties faced. Meanwhile, Bayindir hasn’t kept a clean sheet since last September and has looked unsteady in his two appearances this season.

A new signing is needed not just for fan confidence but also within the squad. If Senne Lammens joins before the deadline, he could make his debut against City in September — though it remains unclear if any further signings will follow him into Old Trafford.
