MMA fans have reacted to ex-Manchester United soccer player Patrice Evra’s training footage ahead of his PFL debut.
Evra is best known for being a left back at Manchester United. During his time at the club, he went on to win the Premier League and the Champions League. He retired from soccer with a decorated career after which he dabbled into media work. However, he is now keen on a new chapter in his life. He will make his debut at PFL Europe 2 from the Accor Arena in Paris on May 23 at the age of 44.
He has called out Luis Suarez, the ex-Liverpool striker, for a fight. Evra and Suarez were involved in an alleged racist incident where Patrice accused him of using a derogatory term. Saurez refused to shake Evra’s hand after the fallout, with Evra looking to get his own back. The following training clip shows Evra putting in the hard yards. He has even spoken to Khabib Nurmagomedov, with suggestions he could train Patrice.
"Grateful for the grind. Honored to train hard for a discipline I deeply respect. It's not about the destination I'm fully in love with the journey." ( I can’t show you everything guys but trust me this is no joke )@PFLEurope pic.twitter.com/qsjJuLzEBN

You guys should know by now, I love this game too. I’ve performed on the world’s biggest stages, won every major trophy in football, but PFL Europe Paris will be an incredibly special night for me. I’ve been training alongside the best in the world for years and they’ll also tell you I’m ready for this. I’m going to put on a show at the Accor Arena on May 23, so come watch the spectacle,” Evra said
