Another week of Fantasy Premier League is behind us. As Arsenal got their title cahrge back on track against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, let’s see who this week’s top individual performers were.

It was a positive outing for teams such as Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Manchester United, but who were the highest scoring players in FPL this week?

Goalkeepers

Crystal Palace certainly weren’t at their best when they took on Wolves at Selhurst Park – luckily, Dean Henderson was on hand to bail the Eagles out on more than one occasion.

With a total of seven saves and 16 points to his name, Henderson was comfortably the top goalkeeper from gameweek 27 in FPL.

On the other end of the spectrum, it was a week to forget for Sunderland’s Robin Roefs. He faced four shots on target against Fulham, but could only save one of them in a 3-1 defeat at the Stadium of Light.

Defenders

Nico O’Reilly was on fire at the weekend. He proved once again that he is one of England’s best young stars, as he scored an impressive brace against Newcastle United.

For this display, O’Reilly bagged himself an enormous points total of 17 for the gameweek. As such, no other player managed to record a higher amount of points than he did this week. Had City managed to keep a clean sheet against Newcastle United, he would’ve done even better.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Wesley Fofana and Wolves’ Ladislav Krejci both struggled, as they each received a red card and a points total of -1 at the weekend.

Midfielders

Fans of Tottenham may wish to avoid reading this segment. Eberechi Eze is the highest scoring midfielder this week after he scored a brace in the North London derby for Arsenal – how different things might have been if Spurs managed to secure his signature in the summer.

For his heroic display against the Lilywhites, Eze netted himself a tidy total of 14 points on the back of a 4-1 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Alex Iwobi and Alexis Mac Allister also performed well at the weekend, securing a total of 13 points each.

There weren’t any outstandingly poor performances in midfield this week, but we picked Phil Foden as our biggest loser. He played just three minutes of City’s game against Newcastle – with the World Cup just around the corner, he is in danger of falling out of favour.

Forwards

Viktor Gyokeres hasn’t been quite as successful as some may have hoped, but there could be no complaints regarding his display against Spurs. He scored a brace against Arsenal’s local rivals to notch up a points total of 13.

It was a strong week for Fulham’s Raul Jimenez too, as the Mexican international scored two goals against Sunderland and registered a total of 11 points.

Despite a solid run of form in recent weeks, Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare is this week’s biggest loser where strikers are concerned. He missed a spot kick against Crystal Palace, leaving him with a total of zero points.
