Jacopo Fazzini will leave Empoli after their relegation to Serie B, but Torino seems an unlikely destination, especially with Fiorentina, Bologna and Lazio interested.
U21 Italy international Fazzini will surely leave Empoli this summer.
New Torino coach Marco Baroni is an admirer of the 22-year-old midfielder, who is part of the Italy U21 squad in this summer’s Euros.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter inform me that, despite interest from Torino, the Granata don’t have big chances of getting the deal done.
Bologna, Fiorentina and Lazio remain in the race for the promising Italian midfielder, but for now, none of them has entered formal talks with Empoli.
Fazzini is a product of the Empoli academy and has scored four goals in 20 Serie A appearances for Empoli during the 2024-25 season.
His contract at the Stadio Castellani expires in June 2027.
The 22-year-old has five goals and three assists in 72 Serie A appearances with the Tuscans.
