Despite Barcelona’s loss, Torres kept up his scoring streak. The Valencian netted his fifth goal of the season, reinforcing why Hansi Flick trusts him as a starter. After the match, Torres spoke to DAZN, expressing frustration over Barcelona losing control in the second half.
“The game got a bit chaotic. We couldn’t regain control the way we wanted. We’re playing a lot of matches—not an excuse—but we need to focus on the weekend,” Torres said (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
“Looking at today’s match, I don’t think we fell behind. The first half hour was spectacular, but we didn’t manage to maintain it. I’m confident that, over time, we’ll be able to sustain that level…By the end of the season, there will be defeats, but we shouldn’t overreact. Now is the time to review what went wrong and fix our mistakes.”
PSG have once again beaten Barcelona under manager Luis Enrique. In 2024, the Paris club eliminated the Catalan side in the Champions League quarterfinals, and this year, they secured another win during the 2025 league phase.
