Fiorentina have confirmed that Raffaele Palladino’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
Palladino took charge of Fiorentina last summer and finished his first season at the Stadio Franchi in 6th place.
The Italian tactician had resigned a few days ago, so Fiorentina began talks for a mutual contract termination.
“ACF Fiorentina can confirm that Raffaele Palladino’s contract, as well as those of his backroom team, has today been terminated by mutual consent,” the Viola said in a statement on Friday.
Palladino was no longer on good terms with part of the Fiorentina fanbase, and ultras strongly urged him and director Daniele Pradé to leave the club during the last home game of the season against Bologna.
Fiorentina had activated a clause to extend Palladino’s contract to 2027, less than one month ago.
The Tuscans are now considering options for their next coach, with the likes of Marco Baroni, Daniele De Rossi and Stefano Pioli already linked with the job.
