Fiorentina are struggling to complete a deal to sign Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito, and must offload fringe players first.

This according to Florence-based newspaper La Nazione, via FCInterNews. They name Riccardo Sottil, M’Bala Nzola, Lucas Beltran, and Jonathan Ikone as players La Viola must sell.

Sebastiano Esposito is currently part of Inter Milan’s senior squad once again.

The Italy Under-21 striker had spent last season on loan with Empoli. However, that loan deal came to an end, and the Tuscans did not sign him on a permanent basis.

Therefore, Sebastianio Esposito travelled with the Inter squad to the United States for the Club World Cup. He appeared in all four of their matches at the tournament, starting two.

Fiorentina Struggling To Sign Sebastiano Esposito – Must Offload Fringe Players First

It looks like virtually a foregone conclusion that Sebastiano Esposito will leave Inter this summer, however.

And there have been a few clubs to show an interest in the 23-year-old.

Widespread reports indicate that Fiorentina are the team who have moved the fastest.

However, La Nazione report that there is a significant problem for the Tuscan club. They cannot bring Esposito in until they make room in their squad by selling some fringe players in attack.

M’Bala Nzola is one player who could leave. The Angolan former Spezia striker is a target for newly-promoted Pisa.

Then, La Nazione reports, Lucas Beltran is hoping that he can stay and convince new Fiorentina coach Vincenzia Italiano in preseason.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina are also looking to sell wingers Riccardo Sottil and Jonathan Ikone.
