Fiorentina officially sign former Manchester United midfielder

Manchester United have seen many of their ex-players excel away from the club.

Scott McTominay has been the biggest example in recent years, becoming a hero in Naples after guiding Napoli to a Serie A title.

Marcus Rashford has recorded seven goals and 11 assists since arriving on loan at FC Barcelona this season, whereas Rasmus Hojlund has scored nine times in all competitions.

Another player who has left United in recent years has been long time goalkeeper David de Gea, who currently plays for Fiorentina after a season without a club.

He is now joined by another ex-United player.

Jack Harrison has officially signed for Fiorentina on loan from Leeds United, as per the clubs website.

Harrison joined Leeds in 2018 on an initial season long loan.

He would go on to play an additional two seasons on loan at Elland Road before making the move permanent in 2021 for a fee of £11 million.

In total, he made 2i9 appearances for the club and recorded 34 goals and 32 assists.

However, Jack Harrison spent the last two seasons on loan at Everton before returning to the club this season where he has made 13 appearances.

Despite this, Jack Harrison leaves Leeds United with an average of 26.3 minutes per Premier League appearance in 2025/26.

He is joining a team in Italy who are struggling for form, currently in 18th place with just two wins all season.

Fiorentina finished 6th last season and reached the UEFA Conference League semi-finals, a year after finishing runners up for the second consecutive season.

It took them until December 21st to get their first win of the season and Harrison would be given the task to restore them back up the table as they look to avoid an embarrassing relegation.
