Fiorentina have confirmed they will play the home leg of the UEFA Conference League play-off at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia.

There had been concerns that the on-going restructuring work at the Stadio Artemio Franchi would make it tricky to host the match, which is scheduled for Thursday August 28.

The club had therefore asked UEFA for permission to move the venue to neutral turf, specifically the Mapei St adium in Reggio Emilia, which is the home arena for Sassuolo.

That request has now been accepted, so a formal statement confirms the Tuscans will play the UEFA Conference League play-off home leg in Reggio Emilia.

They do not yet know their opponents, but it is likely to be Ukrainian club Polissya after their 3-0 preliminary round first leg victory over Hungarians Paksi.

The first leg of the play-off will be an away fixture for Fiorentina on August 21.
