There are numerous great soccer stadiums in Europe. Clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Tottenham, and Barcelona have some of the finest stadiums. These are five of the best European soccer stadiums.

The New Wembley

The Old Wembley Stadium is no more, and in its place has emerged the new Wembley. Wembley is the established home ground for the England soccer team, so many England games are played at the new Wembley Stadium. Wembley hosts the FA Cup finals and other sporting events such as Rugby. Wembley hosts music and concert events.

The new stadium is closely associated with the old one. So, the history of the stadiums is jointly shared with the Wembley museum, covering the great games played at the old and new stadium such as the great England matches and FA Cup finals. So, Wembley is a great European soccer stadium.

The Bernabeu

The Bernabeu is the stadium of the Real Madrid soccer club. Many of the great Real Madrid teams have played and won at the Bernabeu. The Bernabeu has approximately 83,000 seats and has hosted numerous European Cup finals dating back to the 1950s.

In more recent times, the stadium has hosted the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Aside from club soccer, the stadium also hosts Spanish national team games. The Bernabeu Stadium has hosted World Cup games, such as the 1982 World Cup final.

Old Trafford

Old Trafford is the home stadium of Man Utd. This is a great venue for soccer, and it is the largest Premier League ground. Man Utd have won many trophies at this great stadium, including the Premiership title a number of times. Old Trafford also hosts England games when the Three Lions aren’t playing at Wembley. It is also one of the few grounds that have hosted the FA Cup final before they were played at Wembley.

Old Trafford is indeed a little dated these days. The stadium has outmoded facilities, and Manchester United has announced plans to move to a new ground. Yet, Old Trafford remains consistently rated among the best grounds in Europe for size, atmosphere, and historical significance.

The Nou Camp

The Nou Camp is Europe’s largest soccer venue, and is the home to Barcelona. Barcelona has one of Europe’s best teams, and many great players have played at the Nou Camp. The stadium has also hosted a few Champions League finals as well as music concerts. Little known is that the stadium is also host to the Catalan national team; however, they do not play in either the World Cup or European Championships.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The sparkling new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Spurs try to play credible soccer, has a state-of-the-art multi-use design and top-class facilities that few other grounds can match. With 62,850 seats, the scale of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is obviously impressive. Yet, this stadium also has unique and innovative features such as a retractable grass pitch, the longest bar in Europe (good for boozing), and even an F1-themed go-karting simulation track.
