Soccer superstar Lionel Messi is entering the virtual world like never before.

Fans have been playing with Messi in soccer video games for years, whether in the colors of Inter Miami CFParis Saint-GermainFC Barcelona or the Argentina National Team

With the release of two new Messi Fortnite skins on Friday, gamers will have a chance to be Messi, not just control his team.

The popular video game thrilled fans on Friday morning with a four-word announcement ahead of the Friday night release of its new content. Fortnite made posts across its social media channels with a trailer teasing exactly what the new Messi skins will look like.

"Live the Legend," said the post in English and Spanish. "Tonight."

As shown in the trailer, Fortnite is releasing two different Messi skins into the Item Shop on Friday. One is the Lionel Messi Outfit, which transforms into the Stealth Lion Messi and Gold Lion Messi, shown in the trailer.

"Embody the spirit of soccer’s ferocious competitor in a transformative Outfit that changes from Messi’s look on the field to his inner champion," read a description from Epic Games.

The other skin is the Streetwear Spark Messi Outfit, which appears as Messi in a hoodie and jeans. The Mirror reported that the skins will cost 2,300 V-Bucks combined in the game's virtual currency. To acquire all the items in the Messi bundle, it will run you 2,800 V-Bucks, or $22.99.

The lion shares colors and imagery from Argentina's national colors and the Albiceleste soccer jerseys. The streetwear version includes touches of the famous Pink and Black of his current MLS club, Inter Miami. There does not appear to be any reference to the red and blue of Barcelona in the skins.

Inside the bundle there are also two Messi emotes, which hawk-eyed fans have traced back to a classic meme from an interview with the Argentinian forward.

Messi joins a growing list of real-life celebrities to have their likeness in the popular battle royale video game, including Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Juice WRLD, Billie Eilish and many others.

Epic Games has targeted the biggest names in sports as well, previously releasing skins with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, English striker Harry Kane and Messi's former Barcelona teammate, Neymar Jr.
