Inter Milan megastar Marcus Thuram is reportedly keen to regain his status as a difference-maker after last season’s drop-off.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the 28-year-old hopes to return to his best under Cristian Chivu.
Marcus Thuram established himself as Inter’s standout performer in his first season at the club.
Indeed, the French striker scored 13 goals in his first Serie A campaign, helping Inter win their 20th top-flight title.
More importantly, he was decisive in almost every high-profile fixture.
Thuram was on the scoresheet against almost every direct top-four rival in 2023/24.
Indeed, he found the net against AC Milan, Roma, Lazio, and Napoli on his way to lifting the Scudetto.
Despite netting 18 goals last year, Thuram was not as decisive in the season’s crunch moments.
Furthermore, he was largely ineffective in matches that defined Inter’s league campaign last term.
Now, he aims to return to be a protagonist in big events.
Thuram may not have to wait long, with Inter set to take on Juventus in the Derby d’Italia this weekend.
