Inter Milan midfielder Andy Diouf will get the chance to impress Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu over the international break.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The 22-year-old could particularly take advantage of a friendly match against Padova.
Andy Diouf was a player few would have expected to join Inter Milan this summer.
In fact, even late into the transfer window, the 22-year-old would hardly have looked like a major target for the Nerazzurri.
However, in the space of just a couple days towards the end of August, Inter moved with lightning pace to sign Diouf.
As the Gazzetta dello Sport, Diouf has not gone away for the international break.
Therefore, this is a pivotal time for the Frenchman to work closely with Inter coach Cristian Chivu in training.
Diouf has already gotten a chance to show what he can do in training.
However, that has been with a full squad. Moreover, Chivu will have been preoccupied with the work of preparing for the season.
Now, on the other hand, the Romanian can see what Diouf really offers, up close and personal.
Furthermore, Inter play a behind-closed-doors friendly match against Padova today. And there’s little doubt that Diouf will feature in that match.
