Milan are looking to Junior Firpo again now that he can arrive as a free agent from Leeds United, with Theo Hernandez potentially on the way out.
This is hardly the first time that the club has been tracking the left-back, who has been linked many times in recent years with a move to San Siro.
That never happened due to the high asking price, but the situation has changed this summer.
His contract with Leeds United expires on June 30 and therefore he is available as a free agent, albeit one with some rather high wage demands.
According to transfer experts Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano, Milan can go back in for Junior Firpo, after a similar report in Brazilian media.
The former Real Betis and Barcelona player turns 29 in August, contributing four goals and 10 assists in 35 competitive games for Leeds this season, helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.
His career was waylaid in 2023 by a serious knee ligament injury.
His arrival would raise questions on the future of Theo Hernandez, whose contract is set to expire next summer and is looking for Champions League football.
On the other hand, it could be to replace Alex Jimenez, as Real Madrid could activate the buy-back clause on the player.
