From Portugal: Al Hilal ready to offer at least €100m for Milan star Leao

Portuguese paper O Jogo claims Saudi side Al Hilal are ready to offer at least €100m for Milan star Rafael Leao.

Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus wants to reunite with his compatriot Rafael Leao so the Saudi club are ready to make a formal offer of over €100m, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

Leao’s contract with the Rossoneri includes a €175m clause, and according to the report, Al Hilal are not yet considering paying it. However, the opening offer for the Rossoneri will surely exceed €100m.

O Jogo expects Al Hilal to send a formal offer by the weekend, and Leao’s father, Antonio, has been tasked with negotiating with the Saudi club.

According to the report, Portuguese intermediary Mário Rui who is related to the Royal Family and has ‘market powers’ in the Saudi Pro League, will also be involved in talks. Rui already contributed to Neymar and Otavio’s transfer to Saudi Arabia last summer.
