Galatasaray prepare huge offer for Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes has come under increasing speculation over the course of this summer’s transfer window as clubs across the world ponder over his future.

The Manchester United captain, playing a key role in Michael Carrick’s team, played 35 times in the Premier League last season as he went onto break the League’s all-time assists record.

Representing Portugal at the World Cup, Fernandes also had the opportunity to shine on the world stage.

Away from international competition, the 31-year-old’s contract situation with Manchester United has remained a hot topic.

Reports have previously suggested that contract talks between the respective parties had hit a deadlock although more recent news has revealed that Fernandes wants to stay at the club.

Even with his desire to stay, though, clubs continue to circle. Galatasaray are one of those, coming off the back of winning Super Lig in the previous campaign.

Aiming to improve his squad, manager Okan Buruk has identified the United captain as a target with some reports suggesting that the Red Devils were willing to sell the midfielder for less than €75m.

Now, amid continuing speculation, Turkish outlet Fanatik have reported that Galatasaray are preparing to provide Bruno Fernandes with an offer that matches his current salary at Manchester United.

The publication have also stated that the respective parties are expected to sit down in the coming days to debate any possible deal.

Bruno Fernandes has been with Manchester United for more than six years, after joining from Sporting CP in January 2020.

Galatasaray are now looking to bring that reign to an end in a move that could force United to re-adjust their focus for the rest of the transfer window.

It remains to be seen if any possible deal is likely although further clarification is likely to emerge in the coming weeks.
